Delivery Costs

Deliveries from Birchfield Nursery to mainland England, Wales and southern Scotland (the purple and grey areas of the map) have a standard flat rate of £12.95 per order.

Deliveries to northern mainland Scotland will be charged £22.95.

Deliveries to all Scottish Islands will be charged £27.95.

Delivery charges will be indicated and confirmed during checkout.

Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to ship to Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the rest of the world.

Deliveries are made Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, excluding Bank Holidays.

Standard delivery is 3 to 7 working days. We always aim to meet this but delivery times can’t be guaranteed and this may be for reasons beyond our control.

Large and heavy items may take up to 14 working days to arrive.

For certain products, they may be dispatched from different locations so your order may arrive in separate parcels and on different days.

*IMPORTANT* - If you wish to make alternative delivery arrangements (for example, leaving the package by the back gate or with a neighbour) please contact us immediately after placing your order at support@birchfieldnursery.com or call us on 01273 491392 quoting your order number, name and address details along with your delivery instuctions.

If no alternative instructions are supplied, and there isn’t anyone there to receive the package, it will be taken back to the delivery depot ready to be collected.

When receiving your goods, you will be asked to sign a delivery note, confirming that the product is in good order. There is a box than can be ticked if it is not possible to check the goods at that time.

Our aim is to avoid plants spending longer than they need to in the delivery packaging. As soon as you have received your package, we recommend that you unwrap it immediately, keeping it outside in a sheltered spot until it is planted. We recommend that you plant it within a week, but until it is planted it will need daily care.
